Print My Lesson

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 1 April 2026

Print My Lesson (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights under UK GDPR.

1. What We Collect

  • Account information: Name, email address, and school (optional) when you sign up
  • Generated content: The resources you create, including subject, topic, and resource type
  • Usage data: How many resources you generate, which features you use, and basic analytics
  • Payment data: Processed by Stripe — we never see or store your card details

2. How We Use Your Data

  • To provide the Service — generating resources, saving your history, managing your account
  • To improve resource quality — understanding which subjects and topics are most requested
  • To process payments — through our payment provider, Stripe
  • To communicate with you — account notifications, service updates, and (rarely) product news

3. Third Parties

We work with a small number of trusted providers:

  • Supabase — Authentication and database hosting (EU-based infrastructure)
  • Stripe — Payment processing (PCI DSS compliant)
  • Vercel — Application hosting
  • Anthropic — Resource generation. When you generate a resource, the subject, topic, and resource type are sent to Anthropic's API. No personal data (name, email) is included in generation requests.

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use advertising trackers.

4. Cookies

We use only essential cookies required for authentication (Supabase session cookies). We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or any form of behavioural tracking. No cookie consent banner is needed because we only use strictly necessary cookies.

5. Data Retention

Your account data is kept for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal data and generated content within 30 days. Anonymised usage statistics may be retained for product improvement.

6. Your Rights (UK GDPR)

You have the right to:

  • Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Rectification — Ask us to correct inaccurate data
  • Erasure — Ask us to delete your data (“right to be forgotten”)
  • Data portability — Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Object — Object to processing of your data for specific purposes

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@printmylesson.co.uk. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication via Supabase, and access controls on our database. Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe and we never have access to your card details.

8. Children

Print My Lesson is designed for teachers, not students. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify registered users by email. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
